Explain the coagulation cascade simply
The coagulation cascade has two pathways:

Extrinsic (faster): Tissue damage → Factor VII → activates Factor X

Intrinsic (slower): Contact activation → XII→XI→IX→VIII → Factor X

Both paths converge at Factor X, leading to: Prothrombin → Thrombin → Fibrinogen → Fibrin clot 🩸
